§ 01 — WHY THIS HAPPENS

The warning is a symptom. The compromise is the disease.

Google Safe Browsing crawls your site. When it sees redirects to known malicious destinations, JavaScript skimmers, drive-by-download payloads, or cloaked spam content, it flags the entire domain. That's where the warning comes from.

Most owners see the warning before they see any malware in their own browser — because the malware only serves to specific User-Agents (Googlebot) or specific referrers (Google search clicks). The flag is often the first signal that anything is wrong.
